Remember that you need to take measurements before starting the project, as most likely the dimensions of this shed ramp won’t fit your construction.
This shed ramp requires few materials and woodworking skills, but is very rigid and durable. If you want to get the job done in a professional manner, we recommend you to plan everything with attention, as to prevent costly mistakes and to build a professional garden chair. Invest in high quality materials, such as cedar, pine or redwood, as the bench will be exposed to all kinds of weather.

How to build a shed ramp
The first step of the project is to build the joists for the shed ramp. Use 2×8 lumber for the joists and adjust the dimensions according to the shed size. Remember that two sheds are not alike, so you need to make the necessary adjustments. Smooth the edges with attention and make the right cuts with a circular saw.
Â
Fit the support to the joists, making sure you place them equally-spaced. Drill pilot holes through the support and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the joists.
Cut a piece of 3/4″ plywood for the ramp. Attach the plywood panel to the joists and align the edges with attention. Drill pilot holes and insert 1 1/4″ screws along the joists, every 8″.
Last but not least, you should take care of the finishing touches. Therefore, we recommend you to check if the components are locked into place properly and if the structure is rigid enough for your garden. Make sure there are no protruding screws or sharp edges. As we have already pointed out, you should adjust the size of the shed ramp to suit your needs.
PRO TIP: Fill the holes with a good wood filler and smooth the surface with medium-grit sandpaper. Apply several coats of paint or stain over the components, in order to protect them from decay. See all my woodworking plans HERE, listed by category, so you can easily search through them.
