From Jennifer,
Ran into some confusion when trying to figure out what screws were needed other than carriage bolts, kind of “jimmy rigged” attaching the back cross beams to the vertical posts, and added a brace at the floor/back connection to try to mitigate lean on the verticals.
But overall a pretty easy-to-use set of instructions. And I’m fairly proud of how it turned out! Thanks!
$100 Lumber
$ 35 Stain
$ 32 Carriage bolts, nuts, and washers
$ 10 2.5 in deck screws (to secure 2×6 to bottom of structure)
$ 10 3.5 in deck screws (to secure all the corner braces and cross beams)
$ 20 Woodboring auger drill bit (for the carriage bolt holes) —–
$207 Total supplies
Took me forever, but that was on my availability as opposed to project needs. Had I tried to get it done quickly, I estimate the following: 2-3 hours – measuring and cutting 4-5 hours assembly, may require additional people to brace and maneuver additional days for stain to dry, time dependent on space available
