#1 Are your plans free and how do I print or PDF download your plans?
All my plans continue to the FREE ONLINE and easily accessible 24/7. However, due to various reasons including copyright infringement of my designs, running costs etc., I decided that you need to pay a small fee to get the PDF file.
To get a PDF download file of the plans (ads free), you need to buy the plans from blog posts (at the end of the articles you have a GET PDF PLANS button), or you can go directly to my etsy Shop. The plans do not differ from the ones you see on the blog. Thank you for the Support! That helps me add more content.
#2 How do I download the plans after buying them?
I work with Gumroad, which is an online platform helping me deliver the PDF plans to you. After you checkout and pay via Paypal, Google Pay or Credit card, you will receive an email with a link to the PDF Plans. The email is sent automatically, so everyone who buys plans received them almost instantly.
Inside the email you have a VIEW CONTENT button. Therefore, make sure you enter the right email address when checking out. See the DOWNLOAD button bellow.
#3 Are the plans refundable?
Plans are refundable only if you didn’t download them. Once downloaded (I can see in my dashboard) all plans become NON-REFUNDABLE. If you don’t like this policy, just don’t make any purchase from my blog.
#4 Can I use your plans if I am a business?
No, sorry. All my plans are for personal use only. Therefore, you can’t use them in a commercial purpose. I made the plans affordable so any DIY-er can afford them, but not for businesses. If you are a business or intend to sell projects made with my plans, you can contact me.
#5 Do you make custom plans?
The short answer is NO, because I have no time to do all the requests. However, I add the best ideas to my to-do list, therefore some of your request will end up as plans on the blog.
#6 Do you have metric plans?
No. I only design in imperial system. Also all lumber used in the plans refers to the actual size and not the nominal. See in the table:

#7 I am new to woodworking. What tools do I need?
Don’t worry too much. You don’t need fancy tools to start; a drill, a saw (ideally a miter saw, but a circular saw works as well), a sander and a pocket hole jig will get you far. You also need the basics: tape measure, carpentry square, ear and eyes protection and drill bits. You can find here a list of the products I recommend.
#8 What projects should I start with? What do you recommend?
First of all, you need to build a workbench so you can make proper cuts and also use it for assembly. Then you can tackle one of my furniture plans. Any of those is a good start and then you can build your way up to the more complex ones, such as playhouse and sheds. You can find HERE a full list with all my woodworking plans, sorted by category.
#9 What software do you use to design the plans?
I use SketchUp. It is a free 3D design tool.
#10 What advice do you have for a novice DIY-er?
Always be careful when working with power tools and understand the basics. In addition, have fun because that’s what woodworking is all about. Don’t be a perfectionist and find joy in building projects even if one piece is 1/8″ shorter than the other. You will gain experience and learn new tricks as you build more, therefore don’t have high expectations from the very first project.

I only sell architectural plans. If you need stamped plans, these are not the plans for you. If you still buy my plans, you should know it’s your job to make modifications so they comply with your local codes!
